"Greatest" in what way? Very vague question. Still no matter how he means it, to have Dudley Moore (you've got to be kidding me) and not too have Andrei Panin on a Watson list makes it bogus by anyone's standards. Then if you are going to go radio, you would surely have to pick Michael Williams over Andrew Sachs (although I loved him as Manuel on "Fawlty Towers"), wouldn't you?
Off the top of my head I would pick:
1. Andrei Panin 2. Martin Freeman 3. David Burke 4. Edward Hardwicke 5. Vitaly Solomin 6. Nigel Bruce 7. Ben Kingsley 8. James Mason 9. Jude Law 10. Stanley Holden (Hey I love ballet!)
I would have Burke and Hardwick 1 and 2, or maybe 2 and 1. Kingsley not at all, although I loved the movie. Not sure about Mason either. He played the role a little sleepy for me. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for having me :-) On second thought I'd like to squeeze Nigel Stock in there somehow, but can't see anyone on the list I'd like to boot off.
ReplyDeleteWell, we could make it top 12 or 13.
