I liked your review on Superman, but I was never a big fan of the movies (I think it was mostly Lois Lane) so I didn't want to comment. I am looking forward to the new movie however.
I personally am not a fan of this lawsuit against ACD estate.
I do not have the ring side view of the happenings on that issue. Perhaps one day, if I get to write a pastiche, I might have a better understanding of this issue.
The people in charge of the estate right now may not be the nicest people around (as indicated by articles I have read). But it is a disservice to ACD himself and is a sign of a lack of a sense of gratitude.
Every one seems to be hell bent on making money off ACD's works. Have never read this author's "Young Sherlock Holmes" series of books.

No worries, John.

Like you said, with so many making money on ACD, why is there a fight over rights?
ReplyDeleteAnd I have not read the YSH books either.

It doesn't seem like an argument about what is right as much as the ones fighting for it seem like they think they deserve it.
