Seven degrees of Sherlock Holmes. . . .#61

Omar Sharif (1932-2015)

Although I could not find with a quick search that Mr. Sharif played in any Sherlock Holmes films, he did have connections in his first three  English Speaking films to people who did.
So he made the list.

His first three English speaking films (wikipedia) were;

Lawrence of Arabia
The Fall of the Roman Empire
and Behold the Pale Horse.

All the three have actors in the them with Sherlock Holmes film connections.

Seven Degrees of Sherlock Holmes - #51 - Bob Hoskins

Bob Hoskins (1942-2014) passed away today. . .

He starred in many films with SDofSH alumni, such as, Peter O'Toole, Michael Caine and Jude Law, among others.

RIP

As Sherlock Peoria pointed out - Russell Johnson of Gilligan's Island passed away today.

But not without leaving a Sherlockian connection.

Russell David Johnson 1924 - 2014.

Death

On 25 January 2012, Luke Williamson announced on his father's official web site that Nicol Williamson had died on 16 December 2011, aged 75, after a two-year struggle with esophageal cancer.^[9] The news was released late as the actor did not want any fuss to be made over his death. According to Luke, Nicol Williamson died peacefully.

I know I didn't appreciate his Holmes till seeing it many years after I first watched it.

Midwest Sherlockian dies

Bob Burr of Peoria Il died last night.
