Reading for June

This time I thought I would try something a little different and instead of using just one suggested time-line, I have used two just to see how they compare and allow room for discussion.

As I get links to more time-lines, I may add several comparisons.

The one on the right will be from Chris Miller

And the one on the left will be Sherlock Peoria

So here goes.

I am working on a chronology spread sheet. I get the dates either from primary sources or "The Date Being--?" by Peck and Klinger. These are the dates from the first book length chronology by H.W. Bell in 1932. The art of Watsonian chronology was in its infancy and Bell did an admiral job, sometimes going on gut instinct when he couldn't find time clues. It is interesting to note that while years may differ, months (or at worst seasons) remain more or less constant. Watson was rarely ambiguous on that score, except in a case like IDEN.
